From what i've seen and read Windows 8
seems more of tablet/phone operating system rather than a
desktop/laptop operating system. I don't find the idea of a touch
screen laptop/desktop attractive that doesn't appeal to me. Guess i'm
that old fashion. Lol, now that sounds funny old fashion for liking a
non-windows 8 computer one that's not a touch-screen one.
To me it doens't make sense to use
touch-screen technology on a pc. It be hard on your body you'd have
stand up and it also be hard on our eyes cause you'd have to keep the
screen close to your eyes which isn't that healthy for you. Oh, and
by touching the screen with your fingers you'd get finger marks on
the screen and so the screen would even be dirty with finger marks
and food, if you like to eat while you're on the computer.
And quite frankly it doesn't appeal to
me and I really don't find a touch-screen laptop/desktop too
attractive. It seems quite like a waste of time and money for
Microsoft to me. A lot of people are already comparing to Windows 8
to Vista. The previous Windows system before Windows 7.
ZDNet asks Will
Windows 8 be another Windows.
On the face of it, it appears we have an up-down-up-down approach with Microsoft. From Windows XP --- good, to Windows Vista --- bad, to Windows 7 --- good, to Windows 8 --- not so good.
We can reasonably assume from the successes of its predecessor, the next-generation operating system tries to improve too much, too quickly, and far too radically. It's fails to do so.

I've been playing with the latest preview version of Windows 8 all weekend, and I still think it's needlessly confusing and hard to use. I'm not the only one. Todd Bishop at Geekwire dmitted he was "struggling with Microsoft's new thing."

Trends points out that Windows 8 is mostly a touch-screen
Yes, most of Windows 8′s interface elements can be used with a traditional mouse or other pointing device, and right-clicking has taken on even more significance as a way to access some functionality that’s otherwise confined to gestures. But the simple fact is that Windows 8′s new interface is not designed for the keyboard-and-mouse or keyboard-and-trackpad combination most Windows users have. Where sweeping gestures ranging from one side of the screen to the other make sense on comparatively small touchscreen displays found in mobile phones and tablets, they don’t make much sense when scaled up to a 21, 23, or 30-inch display and a mouse pointer.
Yes
I know we all use touch-screen technology on our phones and tablets,
but the toch-screen technolog is suppose to be for tablets and phones
since they they are mostly mobile and we use them on the go,
but when we're home we want to relax and to me quite frankly even
when i'm using my phone which mainly its the touch-screen is a little
annoying like when i'm texting some one I press a letter but the next
or previous letter comes up, no I did not have xt9 enabled on my
phone. I'm talking about when using the on-screen keyboard sometimes
when you're texting someone. For example I was planning to go out
with some friends this weekend I was trying to say “its okay im
still waiting for a response from her. But instead it came out like
this “its ok im still waitung fir a response from her.”
The
words are little mispelled and I even had my phone turned-side was so I
could have a bigger ranch with the on-screen keyboard. But still got
some typos on it. And I didn't even catch that until I today when I
started writing this article.
Anyways
since it officially launched Thursday. What do you think of Windows 8
is it another vista and is it it mainly a touch-screen pc?
