Facebook Needs To Revive Their 'Spam' Filter

Facebook needs to revive their 'spam' filter, its all to easy to be flagged as 'spam' cause people don't always agree with each other and instead of having a discussion like a 'normal' human being, you flag that person as 'spam' cause you don't want to have a discussion on such things. I admit that I am guilty of doing that myself its all too easy to flag someone as 'spam' for the simple reason of disagreeing with that perosn. I fell victim to the broken 'spam' filter, and now I am blocked from commenting or posting on pages for 15 days.

The 'spam' filter is broken when people who simply disagree with other people's opinions can simply flag someone as 'spam' just because they disagree

I'm not the only who fell victim to this earlier this year TechCrunch wrote an article about a similar incident.

Users attempting to comment on blog posts have recently been prevented from doing so, with warning text from the company saying that “this comment can’t be posted” because it is “irrelevant or inappropriate.” We’ve heard back from Facebook, and here’s what it says has been going on.

The company says that the intention is to bar spammy or abusive commenters. Scoble’s comment was specifically blocked because of its length, and the length of the comment thread it was on. Long and popular threads are particularly attractive to spammers as they provide the largest distribution for whatever content is being spammed. Facebook also may block other types of comments that go against positive conversation, such as some ASCII art. Other factors may include who you’re commenting on, how long the comment is, and who is commenting.

Sentiment itself is not considered, the company says.

I never sammed anybody! Facebook is getting really annoying and as you may remember my first post about facebook where I said that facebook was getting 'too controlling'. Before this incident I had another incident with facebook where they took down my my group and didn't give me any explanation but that incident was resolved after I published that article.

Facebook needs to make it harder to abuse the 'spam' filter and ONLY block spam if its really spam and NOT regular people who fall victims to this broken 'spam' filter system. I and to this day I still haven't gotten any explanation as to why I was blocked,

I've got 4 emails associated with my account and surely you think they'd give you an explanation to why your were blocked but I checked all 4 email accounts have have not received any notification from facebook and some of my accounts barely have any emails in the inbox so, surely you think it'll be easy for me to find an email in those accounts that barely have any message a the notification would be like the only one in the inbox. But nope, I do not get an explanation as to why I was blocked. The only explanation was cause people reported me as 'spam' when it so easy to be flagged as spam, and in my opinion that is NOT enough of a reason to be blocked from using facebook.

I'll continue writing about this either until facebook resolves this and gives my my normal facebook back or until my estimated date November 6. How I came up with that date? I went out with a friend on monday, and when I got home I found out I blocked for 15 days. I counted from Monday, October 22nd to November 6th and that makes up 15 days. But if i'm still blocked then, I will continue to write about my struggle with facebook.
